Snowmeo shows you current pictures from your favorite ski and snowboard mountains taken by your fellow winter lovers. It's a great compliment to snow reports, weather reports, mountain web cams, terrain, lift status and grooming reports. Snowmeo allows you to see how busy your favorite mountain is, how deep the powder is, how long the lift lines are, and what the weather currently is. Most likely you'll see a lot of snow and a lot of smiles!
Snowmeo can be thought of as "people as webcams", providing current views of the mountain from locations previously inaccessible to webcams.
Snowmeo uses infinite scrolling, so new images will load as you scroll down through history. Scroll down as far as you want, all the way to last season if you want. Return to the top to watch images come through in real-time.
Want your images to appear on Snowmeo? Great! All you have to do is visit a ski/snowboard mountain that we support and share a picture from there on Instagram using your mobile device. Be sure to turn on "Add to your Photo Map" for that image (that's what lets us find it there).
Is your picture on Snowmeo and you don't want it to be? No problem! All you have to do is make that image private in Instagram and it will automatically be removed.

"So many photos are taken everyday while skiing and snowboarding but there's no good place to see any of them. Sure, the resorts themselves will re-post photos and put up some of their professional shots, and our friends may happen to post some photos the day of (or many days later). But what I'm interested in is what the mountain really looks like and what people are doing on the hill in aggregate...Snowmeo has created an automated aggregator that pulls in photos, by mountain, from public sources like Instagram...I'm a fan of Snowmeo and have started finding some great folks to follow on Instagram this way." --Colorado Snow
"Good idea. I'm always wondering what the conditions are like at my local mountain before I bounce up. All of the weather reports, forecasts, and website information in the world doesn't really stack up against a real time photo." -- jackhustle on Reddit
"This is brilliant. I can't wait for more resorts..." -- mwuk42 on Reddit
"Very cool idea for a site" -- stanleyhudson on reddit
